Chrome-plated furniture components are an essential design element in a wide variety of furniture styles. In bright chrome plating (decorative chrome plating), a very thin layer of chromium is deposited. Due to the thinness of these chrome layers, the shine of the finished chrome-plated workpiece is determined not only by the chrome layer itself, but also by the underlying layer. A well-polished base steel is, however, always a prerequisite for an attractive surface. Polishing and grinding work, given the multitude of shapes (e.g., furniture legs, furniture handles, sofa swivel bases), remains an essential manual process that requires appropriately trained personnel and technical equipment. Our product range is manufactured using various production processes. In addition to aluminum extrusions, we also use aluminum (or zinc) die-cast parts. These are sourced for you in various shapes and designs by stalando GmbH. For certain assemblies, we combine the advantages of both manufacturing processes and create your individual product at very attractive tooling costs. The range is rounded off by high-precision turned and milled parts, which we machine according to your drawings on modern 3- and 4-axis milling machines. Sophisticated surface finishes, from anodized, polished, or brushed to sandblasted surfaces, leave no wishes unfulfilled.

We can also supply you with milled aluminum parts. Milled aluminum parts are manufactured from a block using a CNC milling machine. Using rotating cutting tools, the milling machine removes material from a workpiece to shape it into the desired form. Milling is derived from drilling, but it offers at least three feed directions, allowing for the production of complex three-dimensional shapes. Milling machines can be used to manufacture complex parts such as engine blocks or gears, but also for simpler tasks like drilling or reaming precise holes. Here too, a wide variety of designs can be implemented according to your specifications.

In addition to stainless steel, chrome, and aluminum, stalando also offers tempered safety glass (ESG) in thicknesses of 3 - 19 mm. Various edge finishes, such as beveled or straight edges, are available with different radii. A wide range of surface treatments are possible, including single-color screen printing in various opacities and pattern application. Satin finishes and lacquered glass panels complete the range. Lacquered glass panels are fired at low or high temperatures depending on the application. A unique feature is the stone-look finish, which is applied in seven layers and then sanded and lacquered in further steps. All clear glass variants are also available in white and super white.
